As the name suggests, the tragus piercing is attached to the slightly thicker part of the cartilage at the entrance to the ear canal. It belongs to the family of ear cartilage piercings.

| Please note | For a tragus piercing, we definitely recommend using a labret as the initial jewelry, as your piercing will heal more quickly compared to a ring as the initial jewelry. With a fresh tragus piercing, we recommend sleeping for a few nights so that no pressure is exerted on the piercing. A piercing needle (hollow needle) should generally take precedence over an ear piercing gun, as the cartilage tissue would be literally shattered by using one. Healing can be negatively affected by this procedure and pierced ear holes often become inflamed again and again. |
