The forward helix piercing (also called anti-helix piercing) belongs to the family of ear cartilage piercings. It is placed at the beginning of the helix fold (close to the temple).
The helix piercing looks back on a past rich in tradition. They have always been worn by the Maasai, a tribe in Kenya and Tanzania, as well as the Dayak, the indigenous people on the island of Borneo.
