Ear stretching is a technique used to widen pierced ears step by step. This principle is also used for other piercings.
Dilated piercings are probably almost as old as piercing itself. Images of the ancient Egyptian king Tutankhamun, who is said to have reigned from 1332 to 1323 BC, show him with enlarged (i.e. expanded) ear piercings. Buddha figures are also often depicted with enlarged ear holes.
The only requirement for ear stretching is a completely healed ear hole (i.e. a lobe piercing).

Healing time | 3-4 weeks |
Please note | An ear hole (lobe) usually has a diameter of 0.8 - 1.6mm, depending on how long it has been there and whether heavier jewelry has been worn or not. This ear hole is then stretched to 2 mm and thus forms the basis for the subsequent stretching steps. Several expansion steps are usually required until the desired size is achieved. In order to widen your ear hole as gently as possible so that there are no unwanted, larger cracks, but only the desired microcracks, we recommend stretching steps of a maximum of 2 mm per session. For example, 5 expansion steps are required for a plug of 10 mm. The jewelry should not be removed after a new stretching step, as the stretched tissue can retract very quickly. We recommend taking a break of 3-4 weeks between stretching steps to give the tissue time to recover before the next step is taken. Once you have reached the desired stretch size, you can choose from a huge selection of tunnels, plugs, tubes or spirals in all possible colors, shapes and materials. |
Jewelry change | The price of each stretching step includes a new, sterile piercing (plug/tunnel) with the corresponding diameter. |
