The daith piercing (not to be confused with the migraine piercing) is probably one of the most beautiful ear piercings of all and belongs to the family of ear cartilage piercings. It is placed in the horizontal cartilage fold, directly next to the entrance to the ear.
Daith piercings became increasingly popular at the beginning of the 1990s. The word daith originally comes from Hebrew and means "to know" ("daath").

Piercing type | Ear piercing |
---|---|
Healing time | approx. 3-6 months |
Please note | With a fresh daith piercing, we recommend sleeping for a few nights so that no pressure is exerted on the piercing. We recommend completely avoiding in-ear headphones during the healing phase of a daith piercing, as these could transport unnecessary impurities into the stitch channel. Cartilage piercings, such as the Daith, take a little longer to heal than other piercings. |
