Titanium is the miracle metal of the technological age with a multitude of fascinating properties. It is an extremely light and compatible metal and is therefore particularly suitable for the production of piercing jewelry. Allergy sufferers in particular can breathe a sigh of relief as it does not contain nickel. However, the grade of titanium must be taken into account, as not all grades are suitable for use in piercing jewelry under the skin. At 2nd Skin, we only use grade 23 titanium (Ti6 AL4V Eli) for first-use jewelry, as it has the best material properties for this purpose.
