Piercing FAQ

Pregnant with a navel piercing - what to do?

If a navel piercing has healed completely, there is no medical reason to remove it during pregnancy.

However, as your belly grows and your skin tightens more and more, the piercing becomes increasingly tight and uncomfortable to wear. This means that your body begins to reject the piercing jewelry, which causes the jewelry to grow out and often results in permanent scars.

We therefore recommend replacing your piercing jewelry made of surgical steel or titanium with a pregnancy piercing (PTFE / Teflon) in the last few months of pregnancy.

With this special piercing material, you can continue to wear your navel piercing during pregnancy without any discomfort.
