Getting a tattoo can be quite painful.

However, this depends heavily on the individual's perception of pain and their form on the day. Not every part of the body is equally sensitive to pain. For example, pricking with a needle on the upper arm hurts much less than on the feet.

In general, tattooing is not as bad as many people imagine and can be compared to a slight burning sensation.
