Piercing FAQ
Is silver suitable as piercing jewelry?
Silver has always been used for jewelry and there are also numerous designs for silver piercing jewelry. However, it is best not to wear silver directly in the piercing channel, but rather as a pendant or attachment, for example. Silver can oxidize if it comes into contact with blood, sweat or other bodily fluids, which can lead to discoloration of the skin. There is also a risk of silver jewelry releasing nickel, which can cause allergic reactions. For these reasons, it is recommended not to wear silver in fresh piercing canals.
