Piercing FAQ
From what age can I let my child wear earrings?
According to various pediatricians, medical ear studs can be fitted without hesitation from the age of 6 months.
Many parents want to spare their child the fear of pain by getting earrings early.
The pricking itself is no more dangerous for a baby or small child than for an adult.
However, it is usually difficult to stop a small child from exploring the new jewelry. We therefore recommend that parents make sure that the child does not play with the freshly pierced ears with unwashed hands.
2nd Skin offers a great service especially for children:
On request (by prior arrangement), we can provide two piercing artists to pierce the left and right ear holes at the same time (surcharge CHF 10.-). This is much more comfortable for most children, as the whole process only has to be carried out once.
