Tattoo FAQ
Can I have my palms tattooed?
It is possible to tattoo the palms of the hands, but the chances of success for a permanent tattoo are rather low. The top layer of skin on the palms of the hands is thicker than on other parts of the body, which makes it difficult for the tattoo ink to penetrate the layer of skin underneath, where it would remain permanently. If the ink only reaches the upper layer of the skin, it fades as the skin renews, leaving only a few spots. In addition, tattooing the palms of the hands is particularly painful.
