Thor Gabriel

My stage name is Gabriel Thor and I'm originally from Cyprus.

I was interested in art from an early age and studied graphic design at the University of Wales. There I experimented a lot with airbrushing and soon opened my own motorcycle workshop.

It wasn't long before the motorcycle culture prompted me to want to learn the craft of tattooing. I then started tattooing with 2 old machines and a handful of trusting friends.

My tattoo journey first took me to the London Tattoo Academy and an apprenticeship in Camden Town.

I later worked in numerous top-class tattoo studios in England, the United States, Japan, Cyprus, Greece and Denmark. I met well-known artists such as Roman Abrego, Matkovski Calin and Master Horisei. I have become a versatile tattoo artist who can tattoo any style.

I have also mastered the traditional, Japanese, hand-engraved tattoo technique called Tebori. I was able to learn and train this with Master Horisei on the Japanese island of Okinawa.

In my free time, I like to play the drums and guitar, tinker with machines, ride my motorcycle or just sit back and relax with movies or video games.
