Hygiene and cleanliness are our top priority - we do everything we can to ensure that you feel comfortable and safe during your visit to 2nd Skin and our partner studios.
In addition to the Cantonal Laboratory Zurich, we are also inspected by the company EYECO (HIGH LEVEL QUALITY CONTROL). Eyeco offers hygiene inspections in accordance with the guidelines recommended by the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH). Certification by EYECO serves as proof to the authorities and also to you that we work in a hygienically flawless manner.
Our studios therefore demonstrably exceed the hygiene guidelines required by the Federal Office of Public Health.
Sterilization rooms
2nd Skin and its partner studios insist on separate sterilization rooms that are not accessible to customers. In this area, we work with the utmost care to guarantee our customers impeccable hygiene.
We have the most advanced sterilizers, which far exceed the criteria required by law. Due to the currently required hygiene measures, 2nd Skin and its partner studios keep a record of every sterilization process and can therefore document which material was used for which customer and with which sterilization process the material was previously sterilized.
2nd Skin and its partner studios only use new needles and materials for each customer. Other material that is not considered disposable is subjected to a documented sterilization process.
Our sterilizers serviced by COBACOtec AG are equipped with a Helix test specimen system (in accordance with EN 867-5). In addition, they are subjected to a spore test every 3 months, i.e. our sterilizer is tested for safety using a culture of highly resistant bacterial spores.
The sterilized culture is then sent to the hygiene institute, which checks the result and informs us immediately.
